FY25 Executive Council
The SWE Boston Executive Council organizes our three committees. Our committees help women in engineering develop professionally, become members of our society, and reach out to the next generation.
Michelle G., President / Erika T., President Elect
The President has the responsibilities of general supervision, direction, and control of the business affairs of the Section, and takes an active role in SWE Boston committees, programs, and activities. She organizes bi-monthly EC meetings and presides over all EC and general membership meetings.

Michelle is a Senior Development Engineer at Medtronic in Danvers, MA. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating in 2015. During her time at RIT, Michelle held a variety of roles including Secretary, Vice President, and President of the RIT SWE section. She joined SWE Boston when she moved back to the Boston area in 2018 and has happily been involved since!

Erika T. has worked as a systems engineer for the past four years since graduating from Merrimack College with her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering in 2021. She most recently completed her Masters in Data Science also at Merrimack. She joined her collegiate SWE chapter and has been involved with SWE Boston since graduating. Having served as Vice President of Professional Development in FY’23 and most recently as the book club lead, Erika enjoys fostering a community within SWE and providing opportunities for career development and connection.
Priya P., First Vice President, Professional Development
The First Vice President, as head of the Professional Development Committee, organizes the monthly meetings and other professional development programs for the Section.

Priya is currently employed as a Systems Engineer at Raytheon in Tewksbury, MA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University in 2021. Priya has been involved with SWE Boston for the last three years since graduating from Penn State University in 2021. She was the Social Media Manager for SWE Boston in 2022 and has served SWE Boston as the Vice President of Professional Development for the past year. Priya continues her endeavors to foster the relationships between local companies and SWE Boston.
Emily Cislo, Second Vice President, K-12 Outreach
The Second Vice President, as head of the K-12 Outreach Committee, oversees programs that inform women, their families, guidance counselors, and the public in general, of the qualifications and achievements of women engineers and the opportunities open to them. These programs include mentoring, science fairs, merit certificates, Girl Scouts, and the Speaker’s Bureau.

Emily is an Engineering Manager at Raytheon, an RTX Business in Andover, MA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the University of Michigan. Emily has been a SWE member since 2011, becoming a SWE Life Member in 2014. She has over 17 years of experience planning and leading both outreach and employee resource group events. Emily is passionate about volunteer activities in the community such as STEM outreach, student mentoring, environmental issues, and veterans causes. For this fiscal year, Emily’s goal is to work with the outreach committee to plan engaging activities, empower members to lead and participate in outreach events, and recognize our SWE Boston volunteers.
Maria K., Third Vice President, Membership
The Third Vice President, as head of the Membership Committee, handles all tasks and sponsors programs associated with the goals of member recruitment, retention, and services. These activities include membership administration, and preparing packets for new and potential members.

Maria is a Hybrid Mechanical Design Engineer at GE Aerospace in Lynn, MA. She grew up outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and received her B.S in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Maria was involved in SWE during school serving as the Mentoring Chair and has been connected since she graduated in 2022 with the SWE Boston Section. Maria is serving for the first time as the Vice President of Membership in FY26.
Outside of work, Maria loves to travel to see her family and friends – and has a bucket list of national parks and new countries she tallies off every year! She also reads quite a bit – fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, mystery!
This year, Maria is hoping to connect as many people as possible to foster mentor/mentee relationship and close friendships by hosting monthly events around Boston.
Sydney N., Treasurer
The Treasurer keeps a full and complete record of the Section’s financial accounts, manages all funds of the Section, and prepares the annual financial report as required by the Society.

Sydney is a Materials Engineer at Raytheon (an RTX business). She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2023. She was heavily involved in the RPI SWE section, serving as the Summer Arch Director, Exploring Engineering Day Director, and Vice President. Sydney joined SWE Boston once she graduated! During this fiscal year, Sydney is learning the role of Treasurer as the Treasurer-Elect.
Jennifer G., Recording Secretary
The Recording Secretary records, prepares, maintains, and distributes the record of the proceedings of the membership and EC meetings.

Jenn is a Director of Software Development at Audible in Cambridge, MA. She holds a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northeastern, an Engineering Leadership Graduate Certificate from Northeastern, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. When she’s not volunteering with SWE, she likes to volunteer with Food Link, a food rescue, and hang out with her two year old daughter. Currently serving as Recording Secretary, she records, prepares, maintains, and distributes the record of the proceedings of the Executive Committee meetings.
Jennifer B., Corresponding Secretary
The Corresponding Secretary conducts Section correspondence with the general membership and the public.

Jennifer is a Mission Assurance Lead at Collins Aerospace in Marlborough, MA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at UMass Lowell, graduating in 2011. During her time at UMass Lowell, Jennifer held a variety of roles including President of the UMass Lowell SWE section. Other than her passion of Women in STEM, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her two young children, reading books, and playing sports whenever she can.
