Mary Pottle Scholarship

Mary Pottle was the first recorded president of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Boston section, chartered in 1950. She passed away in the summer of 2021. To honor Mary Pottle’s memory and continue her mission of promoting human rights and SWE’s mission of empowering women engineers, we are establishing a memorial scholarship fund to benefit women and students of marginalized genders pursuing degrees in STEM (science technology engineering mathematics). This fund will be an endowment that will benefit STEM students in Eastern Massachusetts for years to come.
